Well, after reading a friend's blog for a few weeks, I've decided to make one of my own because I'm just cool like that. So, I'll try to post as much as I can (Jesse you can read this when I leave Anchorage and keep an eye on me!)
Today was really relaxing and wonderful. Sundays are my one day off, so I usually try to make them worthwhile. Jesse and I are not very good at sleeping in. We managed to make it to 8:00 am. Wow, impressive, right? Oh well... we made some delicious huevos rancheros-- eggs, cheese, rice and salsa. Yum. We ate those while we watched Casino Royale. It was pretty entertaining, I must say. Some of the scenes were really exciting especially the chase scene in the beginning where the black guy is FREE RUNNING! I love watching people do that. It's amazing how some people can get their bodies to do the most amazing things. Yay for free running.
Jesse's dad came over for awhile again and we decided to go to a Greenpeace meeting about saving the whales. There's a meeting going on in Anchorage about the fate of a lot of whales so Greenpeace had this parade where everyone dressed in blue t-shirts (which they gave away free!!) and we walked from the Park Strip, around Captian Cook, and back. There were several people there from Australia! So anyways, after the walk, we were directed to all lay on the huge park lawn in a certain design by this really hilarious guy with a megaphone. We made the shape of a giant blue humpback whale and the text, "defend" so a helicopter could fly over us and take our picture. It was so cool!! I've never participated in aerial art before. I've never participated in a save the whales anything before. I felt really good to be there, strutting my stuff for our whale friends with Jesse, my sexy hippie boyfriend. Peace.
So, after we saved the whales, we went to Moose's Tooth. The chicken pizza was ok, but I really wasn't expecting it to be that spectacular because I'm not a fan of chicken on pizza anyways. So after dinner we went home and slept for no particular reason for several hours.
And since my stomach is telling me that I need some food, I'm going to go eat some more of the chicken pizza. I love leftovers.
This concludes blog #1-- and remember, whales are our friends.
